
張元中,男,漢族,生于1971年,四川省通江縣人。1990年9月-1994年7月在四川師范學院(現西華師范大學)物理系物理教育專業學習,獲學士學位;1994年9月-1997年7在西南石油學院(現西南石油大學)石油工程系油氣田開發工程專業學習,獲碩士學位;1997年9月-2000年7月在石油大學(北京)(現中國石油大學(北京))地球科學系地球探測與信息技術專業學習,獲博士學位。2000年8月-2003年8月在大慶油田從事博士后研究工作,2003年9月出站后到中國石油大學(北京)工作。2006年12月至2009年10月在新疆油田從事第二站博士后研究工作。2007年11月至2008年12月在科羅拉多礦業學院地球物理系進修訪問1年。
目前為中國石油大學(北京)地球物理學院測井系教師,副教授,碩士生導師,從事地球物理測井方向的教學及科研工作。承擔本科生《矢量分析與場論》、《巖石物理基礎》和《測井解釋與生產測井》,研究生課程《物理場論》等課程的教學工作。

科研項目:主持完成自然科學基金面上項目1項、973子課題1項、中石油青年科技創新基金1項、企業合作項目20余項,在研科研項目4項。
人才培養:已畢業碩士生研究生30人,在讀研究生10人。
研究生論文方向:(1)復雜儲層油水層識別;(2)測井資料在非常規油氣中的應用;(3)人工智能在測井解釋中的應用。
