             據2004年10月《Explorer》報道，我校1985年畢業的礦產普查與勘探專業碩士生、原資源與信息學院教師曾洪流博士獲美國AAPG年度杰出優秀論文獎——Wallace獎。
            

             
                曾洪流博士1989年赴美留學，在美國德州大學Austin分校地質系獲博士學位，現為該校經濟地質局高級研究員。他長期從事地震資料處理解釋工作。2003年2月，他在AAPG雜志上發表了“Seismic frequency control on carbonate seismic stratigraphy”。該文被評為2003年度AAPG雜志唯一一篇最佳論文，也是華人首次獲此殊榮。Wallace
